BIG CHANGES TO THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS!
We are excited to announce much bigger prizes for the National Championship.
Each year we will now hold 3 National Championships between Las Vegas and Atlantic City during the World Tavern Poker Open.
Spring Season - Las Vegas
Fall and Winter Seasons - Atlantic City
There are 3 National Championships each year with some incredible prizes. Everyone who makes the Final Table (8) receives a WSOP seat ranging from $1,000 - $2,000! That's over 24 World Series of Poker Seats each year at our National Championships!
Who Qualifies?
Players can qualify for the National Championships in 3 ways.
National Ranking - The Top 20 National points leaders at the end of each season will qualify for the National Championships for that season.
Regional Points Champion
- In markets with 5 or more taverns in a region, the Top 2 Regional
Points leaders at the end of the season receive a seat at the National
Championship.
Regional Championship Events
- The # of National qualifiers through the Regional Championship Events
varies depending on the # of participating taverns in that region. However at a Single Regional (approximately 120 players), the Top 10 will qualify for the National Championship!
Smaller Markets - In smaller markets events are often held to determine qualifiers for the National Championship. The break down for smaller markets is as follows.
1 Tavern = In a single bar market, the Tavern Champion receives a seat in the National Championship
2-3
Taverns = In a 2-3 bar market where they hold their own Regional
Championship, the Top 2 finishers receive seats in the National
Championship
4
Taverns = In markets with 4 bars where they hold their own Regional
Championship, the Top 3 finishers receive seats in the National
Championship
National
Championships are not only a great way to test your skill against some
of the best players in the league, it's also a great way to win a seat
to a World Series of Poker event!
